The Dental Law Partnership Solicitors Limited trading as The Dental Law Partnership is committed to keeping your information private. By ‘your information’ we mean any information about you that you or third parties provide to us.

This online privacy policy applies only to the information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.

What information do we collect?

Information is collected from you when you complete an online form and includes:

  • Dental Treatment (Past)
  • Dental treatment (Future)
  • Date of dental treatment
  • Any supporting documents submitted with the claim form
  • Country of residence
  • Referring solicitor name
  • Referring solicitor firm name
  • Referring solicitor email
  • IP address

What do we use your information for?

Personal data is used for a number of purposes by ourselves; in order to investigate, consider, advise, represent, and otherwise assist you in all matters relating to dental negligence and other litigation in England and Wales, to personalise your visit to our site and/or to improve our customer service. Your details will be added to our database.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell or disclose your information to third parties. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business or servicing your claim so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We will not disclose information regarding your claim to anyone without your prior approval unless we are legally required to do so or in the event of a sale of the business. However no personally identifiable visitor information will be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising and other uses.

Your consent

By completing an online form including indicating your confirmation of reading our privacy notice, you will have consented for us to collect and process personal information about you in line with this privacy policy.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. Please contact us if you wish to do so.

If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide services to you. If this is so we will inform you.

If you are completing our online form on behalf of another person, you must have that person’s agreement to provide us with the relevant personal data. By completing the form you will be confirming to us that you have the other person’s agreement to contact us, and to supply us with the personal data which we will process as set out. If you are in any doubt about the agreement of the other person to this arrangement please do not submit the online form to us.

How long we keep your personal information

We may keep your information up to 7 years for one of the following reasons:

  • To show that we treated you fairly
  • To maintain records according to rules that apply to us.

We may keep your data for longer than 7 years if we cannot delete it for legal, regulatory or technical reasons. We may also keep it for research and statistical purposes. If we do, we will make sure that your privacy is protected and only use it for those purposes.

  3. You have the right to object to the Company use of your personal information, or ask us to delete, remove or stop using your personal information if there is no need for us it keep it. This is known as the ‘right to object’ and the ‘right to erasure’ or the ‘right to be forgotten’. However there may be a legal or other official reasons why we need to keep or use your data. If you want to object to how we use your data, or ask us to delete it or restrict how we use it then contact Katherine Easdown, Marketing Manager.
  4. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, please contact Katherine Easdown, Marketing Manager if you wish to do so.
  5. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the Information Commissioners’ Office if you believe that we have not complied with the requirements of the GDPR or DPA 2018 with regard to your personal data.
