A woman from the West Midlands has successfully sued her local dental hospital for £20,000 after instruments were used to examine her had not been sterilised between patients.
Mrs R received £20,000 compensation after she was told the dental instruments that had been used to examine her had not been sterilised between patients and she was potentially at risk from HIV and hepatitis.
As a consequence of the dental negligence Mrs R was placed on anti-viral drugs for 6 months as a precaution and had to undergo a prolonged period of counselling to help her get over the stress of potentially contracting a blood borne disease.
Mrs R approached the Dental Law Partnership for assistance and the leading dental negligence law firm were able to help her claim £20,000 compensation.
