Condition: Will potentially lose 26 teeth in the future because her dentist failed to diagnose and treat her periodontal disease

Ms Gibbons’ dentists’ consistent failure to spot and treat decay led to her needing two root canal treatments and the extraction of one of her teeth. She will also lose another tooth in the future.

For 16 years a dentist failed to spot Mrs H’s periodontal disease causes her future tooth loss of 19 teeth.
He has had a tooth extracted and is expected to lose 9 more in future after his dentist failed to spot and treat periodontal disease, performed poor root canal treatment and fitted substandard bridgework that needed to be replaced.
Mr Boyce had a tooth extracted in hospital after his dentist botched his root canal treatment. He suffered days of excruciating agony from the infection before the extraction.
Miss Gayle lost a tooth after her dentist failed to provide adequate root canal treatment. She also suffered from painful infections and was left having difficulty eating after her dentist’s poor treatment. She now needs an implant to fill the gap left in her mouth.
