2023 Industry Updates
Dental charges have been hiking all year, in England alone NHS dental charges have increased by 8.5% in the past year, causing much of the country to rethink seeking dental care and appointments. This has been the biggest price increase in nearly 20 years.
What’s more Artificial Intelligence is revolutionising the dental industry, 2023 saw AI-powered tools used for early detection and some treatment planning which is enhancing the overall quality of patient care. This rise in technological advances is sure to continue into the years ahead.
Then most recently we have seen the changing legal landscape of vicarious liability. What is vicarious liability? In situations where a dental practice is responsible for a third-party dentist, and this induvial has carried out negligent care, The practice can now feel the weight of responsibly for that action as an employer of the dentist. For DLP, this means we can accept more cases of negligence and help people get the compensation they deserve.
Legal 500 Accreditation
DLP obtained an incredible accreditation in the Legal 500 for the 8th year running, a well-earned recognition of all the hard-work and dedication the company holds. This is a huge achievement and shows what a credit every member of staff at DLP is, ‘’there is a great team spirit with staff supporting one another’’.

We had an amazing year of press coverage reaching both local and national news outlets all over the country. This year we have published client stories in: London Daily News, The Northern Echo, Mail Online, Stoke-on-Trent Live, Wales on Sunday, Liverpool Echo Online, Manchester Evening News, Bristol Post and even coverage in The Mirror. And that’s just naming a few… wonder which media outlets you’ll see us in next year?
Celebrations & Events
The DLP team is growing, in 2023 we hired 8 new starters and promoted 5 members of staff.
Alongside our internal celebrations we have also throughout the year raised money for several charities and organisations to help support our local community. In November, we donated over 60 Christmas presents to the Salvation Army to help families who might not otherwise be able to get their children a present, , and vulnerable people going through the hardest of times.
Whilst we appreciate this year hasn’t been the easiest for a lot of people as the cost-of-living crisis continues to plague the country, the morale, hard-work, and sheer positivity of the DLP family has kept us all striving forward. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all our new and existing clients for choosing our services. And a special mention to those who have recommended us to your friends and family in their times of need.
