Tim Armitage

Legal Team Associate Solicitor

About Me

I joined the Dental Law Partnership in 2005, which makes me one of the longest serving employees in the business at the moment.

I have 19 years of experience working within the legal field and my two main practice areas are clinical negligence and personal injury. When working for the Dental Law Partnership, I focus my efforts on dental negligence claims within England and Wales. I have learned a great deal about the legal profession during my time at the company, and I am very passionate about my work.

Experience

As one of the longest serving employees of the Dental Law Partnership, I have gained lots of hands-on experience when working with my clients. Since starting, I have worked my way up to the position of associate solicitor, and my unique skill set has been developed over the course of my time here.

I have a particular interest in cases involving nerve damage during dental treatment and mismanagement of periodontal disease, and I also have a history of handling complex dental negligence claims. However, I am fully trained in all areas of the dental legal field, so I should be able to help you, regardless of your situation.

You can read more about my previous work by going to my page on the Review Solicitors website.

Qualifications

As a trained associate solicitor, I have completed a law degree. I have also been admitted to the roll of solicitors of England and Wales.

I am SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) regulated, and I was admitted to the organisation as a solicitor in 2007.

Cases

During my career at the Dental Law Partnership, I have worked on many notable cases. Two of my most recent cases that stand out are:

  • Mr Grundy – In 2022, Mr Grundy was awarded £10,500 compensation from his former dentist after a dental negligence claim was brought forward by the Dental Law Partnership. The claimant underwent years of needless treatment as a teenager after a poor dental consultation, which led to further issues developing. The distress involved was entirely unnecessary, so the claimant and his mother were understandably happy to reach an out-of-court settlement of £10,500.
